The British Red Cross Humanitarian Citizen Awards

British Red Cross EmblemThe British Red Cross have set up the the Humanitarian Citizens Award's to recognize the contributions that special young people sometimes make to the lives of others.

The awards are for children or young people under the age of 25, and can be awarded to a group or an individual. Young people can make a difference to society in all sorts of ways, including; fundraising, campaigning, befriending or helping other people.

If you know of a child or young person who has made a significant or unusual contribution to society or the local community, or to an individual, you can nominate them on the online form.  Nominations are open now and close on the 26th September 2008.
