I think the old adage goes something like "You can't manage what you can't measure" and it holds just as true when you manage a website as to when you carry out any other management activity.

 

So on Stuff4Teaching we're using Google Analytics, which provides some really useful information on visitor behaviour. One aspect of the analytics tool that I particularly like, is the ability to see which part of the world visitors come from. It provides a map view to highlight this.

 

So far we've had visitors from South Africa, Germany and the States, as well as from the U.K, which is really encouraging given that we've only been up and running for a week!
