We are pleased to announce that we now have a selection of songs available free, for use on the interactive whiteboard or PC. Clear visual backgrounds displaying the words with simple vocal accompaniment to lead the children.
We have started our collection with the traditional nursery rhymes, 12345 Once I caught a fish alive, Humpty Dumpty and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, aimed at Early years, although these could be used in KS1 too. Then we have two multiplication songs for KS1 or KS2; the 5 times table and 10 times table, to help children consolidate their learning and to support all those who are auditory or visual learners.
These are our introductory songs and we hope to add more in the coming weeks and months. Let us know what you think, or if you have any suggestions, by posting a comment.

We've now been running Stuff4Teaching for close to 6 months and in that time we've had people visit us from over 100 different countries. So to all our visitors from English speaking countries, we'd like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
For those of you for whom English is not your first language, here's my best shot of translating the same message into your native tongue, thanks to Omniglot. (Couldn't quite manage every language, sorry!)

We've been running Stuff4Teaching for nearly 5 months, and in that time we've had plenty of teachers sign-up for both the 3 month and 12 month options. The 12 month one proving to be the most popular so far, probably because it works out at less than 5 pence per day!
When we launched Stuff4Teaching, we weren't too sure how many people would take up the service, which is aimed at early years, key stage 1 (KS1) and key stage 2 (KS2) teachers. Therefore we decided to set-up peoples accounts on a manual basis. We've now got to the point where it's impractical, due to the number of sign-ups we’re getting, so we've now automated the whole process.
So, why not sign-up and select your own account details and you will be only seconds away from accessing thousands of quality teaching resources that we've tried and tested.

Today BBC's Blue Peter celebrates it's 50th Birthday in style with a tea party at Buckingham Palace arranged by the Queen. Presenters past and present have been invited, as well as four lucky viewers who won a competition to attend the event.
Generations of us have grown up with the programme that aims to keep children informed. It has a successful mixture of exciting and interesting stories that both teach and educate as well as entertain our children.
So congratulations Blue Peter, on being the worlds longest running TV programme, and let's hope the programme continues to achieve those objectives for the next 50 years, ever changing with the times to stay current and relevant to each new generation of child viewers.
Martin Handford, the famous children's author and illustrator, creator of the Where's Wally series of books has created a special 50th Birthday picture with the famous Wally character hidden in the scene. You can download a free colour copy of the picture in a pdf file from the Blue Peter website. Something for your primary class to do in a wet playtime perhaps, or for use as a group discussion activity? |

Although Stuff4Teaching was originally designed and intended for teachers, parents will find it a boon for helping their children with all things educational.
Our teaching resources are sorted by age group, then subject and topic, and then they are sorted into the type of resource they are, e.g. worksheet, PowerPoint presentation and so on. The categories that parents will find most useful are ‘Worksheet’ and ‘PC’. (Personal computer). Resources filed under PC are suitable for children to use independently at the computer. They may be games or interactive activities or in some cases pages written with a child’s audience in mind, but all checked out by teachers for their suitability.
So, if your child has an interest in a particular topic or you know there is and aspect of learning they are struggling with, you can choose resources suitable for them to use. Save them in your Stuff4Teaching ‘Favourites’ page, and your child can access activities that you want them to be doing, from whichever computer they use, at home or away. They will get straight through to the activity without having to search around and get distracted by unsuitable internet material. Great for rainy days indoors, homework help or just supporting learning on a day to day basis. |

KillerStartups wants to be the first to spot "the next big thing" and provides investors with possible Internet businesses that they should invest in. Not that we need or want investment at this point in time.
