Since the last Olympics, the world of TV has moved on incredibly fast and we can now watch all the events live, or download them on iplayer afterwards. (Catch the opening ceremony highlights there, if you missed it) We can read all about events as they happen and find out comments from the athletes involved. BBC has fantastic coverage of everything, and if you want a different perspective, then try the very detailed coverage on the American TV website by NBC. If you've missed an event you're sure to be able find out all about it, and watch video footage at these websites. These sites could both be really useful for all sorts of Olympics related activities in the classroom. The BBC has an interactive map and arial views and plans of the stadium and venues. There are up to date medals tables on both sites and news and links to blog posts on the Olympics. How will you use the Olympics in your classroom, or with your children at home over the summer?

Wow...what an opening ceremony! The Chinese know how to do it in style and what an act we Brits now have to follow in 2012.
