2008 is the National Year of Reading and if you want to get more involved in this, there is still time.

WOW 366 is a collection of stories written by top authors in just 366 words in support of the National Year of Reading, with one story for every day of the leap year. You can download free copies of the stories individually with additional stories from the book, being added weekly.

There is also a competition to enter to win 366 books for your school, aimed at under 18s. Children have to write a story that is a maximum of 366 words long and either submit it online or post it. The closing date is 30th Dec. 08. I'm sure your children write great stories so why not give them a reason to write?
