The Communication Cookbook has been designed and written to support communication and language development in Primary School children. Developed by the BT Betterworld campaign and I CAN, to develop the five essential communication skills of; attention and listening, vocabulary, building sentences, story telling and conversations. 

The free book contains simple recipes to support parents and teachers in building these skills in children. There are also online activities to support the teaching resources in the book.

One copy of the book is available free to UK primary schools for a limited time only, with free postage to schools in England. Other UK areas pay a small postage charge. There are also free downloadable versions of the recipes in the book, as well as online interactive resources. These include a listening walk and making sounds acivities.

Any resource that has been specifically developed to support development of essential speaking and listening skills in children has to be worth a look, especially a FREE one!
