September is traditionally the month when we celebrate Harvest Festival in the UK. At school we teach children to be aware of how fortunate they are, in having plenty to eat in this country. 

If you are planning a school assembly for Harvest Festival, or just want to do some work with your class, then the charity 'Feed the Children' has put together a free resource pack to support you. It includes a poster, picture resources and a powerpoint presentation.

Feed the Children would welcome your support, and has regional collection points for donations of rice, dried pasta, dried fruit and dried pulses. So your children would be able to make a difference to other children in some of the poorest parts of the world, including Uganda, Kenya, Angola, and Liberia.
