To alert the public to the importance of language learning
To increase awareness and appreciation of all languages
To encourage lifelong language learning Teachers, could you use this day to find out more about the languages spoken at home by the children in your class? How many different languages are spoken? Can anyone sing a song in their language, or perhaps teach the other children some simple phrases or numbers?
